Life on the Farm

As always, the farm is busy and enjoying the sunshine. The hydrangeas are starting to be antique, so if you love them, they are coming up soon. If you still love the regular, do not worry; we have shaded areas to ensure some nonantique ones are still available. My favorite antique color would be the jewel/mermaid colors! The bouquet I made this week had more of a wild/funky look to it. I have always loved the wild, colorful arrangements, but practice makes perfect, so I have been trying to make a few every few days. Lately, I have been waking up before work and driving around the farm to see what would look good. I have found a lot of greenery, such as vine maple leaves, that add a lot to a bouquet. With my bouquets, I have been using some hydrangea and then pairing it with some cosmos, snap peas, zinnias, and anything else I can find in the garden. I hope to take florist classes soon, though, to improve! I am heading out to Bend for a camping trip with some friends this weekend. We will be doing a lot of hikes and swimming in the lakes. I can share photos and stories next week!
